circle.com

Since I started in 2017, we have revamped the circle.com site three times. For each of the redesigns, I was the lead developer and created a UI component system with a base LESS file in order to make it easier for other developers to create pages moving forward. I also built out CSS animations and implemented Lottie on the site so we could create more complex, lightweight animations where needed. I often designed the tablet and mobile versions in build in order for the team to move quickly and have quick launch turn arounds.

All versions of the site were also localized so I was in charge of gathering the strings, coordinating the translations and QA with the Director of Project management, and making design edits based on how the localized strings flowed with the page elements.

You can see live versions of each rendition of the site by clicking on the image.

Campaigns + promotions

I have worked on 70+ campaigns and promotions during my time at Circle that were directed towards current and potential customers in 5 different locales. These campaigns usually included landing pages, email blasts, and either banner or social ads. I worked directly with the Brand Creative Directors and Director of Project Management in order to design and build on brand landing pages and set expectations of when they could be launched. 5,500 dollars of summer is just one of the campaigns I worked on from start to finish.

Similar to the site, I also created a landing page style guide with components and a base LESS file so my team was able to build and launch a landing page in as little as two days when needed.

centre.io

CENTRE was founded in 2017 and the site design has changed as the consortium has evolved. There have been three major evolutions since the CENTRE site was built with the most recent being a rebrand when Coinbase was announced as a founding member. I worked directly with the Brand Directors and product manager in order to build a rebranded site in a little over 24 hours including the team’s updates to copy, brand, and feedback from Coinbase.

Circle Research

Circle Research was originally built on the circle.com domain in order to publish reports, recaps, and insights on the crypto industry as well as create a subscriber base to directly send that content to. While this approach gave the brand team ultimate flexibility in designing and developing the site, the marketing team wasn’t able to publish recaps as quickly as they wanted. This lead to the redesign and migration of the site to a CMS and I worked on this initiative with another designer on my team.

In order to find a CMS, I also scoped out multiple CMS platforms and worked with engineering, marketing, the Director of Project Management, and the security team to find a solution that was the best fit.

Poloniex

When Circle acquired Poloniex, the homepage consisted of a call-to-action and three brief value propositions since the main focus was the product side of the site. My team redesigned the page in order to make the Poloniex brand feel more modern and also highlight more reasons why it is the best exchange to use. The engineering team built the markets table on the homepage, but I built the rest of the page and worked closely with the designers in order to figure out the functionality of the promotional widget which allows us to highlight important news and features.

Brightcove

During my 6+ years at Brightcove I designed and developed everything from landing pages to the corporate marketing site. I worked directly with the Creative Director to create and build designs that could encompass Brightcove’s growing product suite as well as help direct customers from different industries to the products that would be best fit their needs.

I also met with marketing stakeholders in order to understand what their needs were and translate that to designs that could entice new users to sign up for our products, subscribe to our newsletters, and download marketing materials we were offering. While in this role, I managed outside design vendors and gave design direction and feedback to two junior designers who assisted in the website graphic production, updates in the CMS, email layouts, and marketing materials.

Brightcove PLAY

PLAY is Brightcove’s annual conference that brings together customers, industry leaders, and partners to discuss trends and the future of video. In 2014 I built a fully responsive version of play.brightcove.com which was Brightcove’s first responsive mini-site. Starting with PLAY 2016, I was also the lead designer for play.brightcove.com.
